David Tennant spotted in Edinburgh filming new season of hit TV show
The Scottish star was seen alongside other cast members like Derek Jacobi
Scottish movie star David Tennant has been spotted in various Edinburgh locations while filming an upcoming TV series.
The former Dr Who actor is filming season three of Amazon Prime show Good Omens.
David was previously in Edinburgh for the filming of season two of the show, where famous Edinburgh locations like Stockbridge and Victoria Street were used in production.
David Tennant, most famous for his role as the Tenth Doctor in Dr Who, was born just half an hour outside of Edinburgh in Bathgate.
He has been seen filming his new show near The Meadows, a famous park in Edinburgh popular with locals and tourists.
The crew were able to set up temporary gazebos, lighting and film equipment while David and his costars were in costume, including his characters iconic red hair.

Previous seasons of his show Good Omens included scenes shot in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic locations, including Fettes College and the popular haunt The Cask and Barrel.
Katy, a University of Edinburgh student from Humbie, a small village near Edinburgh, told The Tab that her sighting of the Scot legend was an unexpected but fantastic surprise, saying that she “loves him” and that she was going to “run by” and “stumble and fall into that gazebo” to have a chance to speak to him.
David, who has started in a host of TV shows, movies and stage performances recently became the record holder for the most WhatsOnStage awards after winning his fifth for his performance in Macbeth.
Last year he was awarded with the Bafta for male performance in a comedy for his role in Good Omens, he has also won Baftas for his starring roles in Dr Who (2007) and The Escape Artist (2014).
