Anne Hathaway to Taylor Swift: All the celebrities spotted lurking at the 2025 Super Bowl

Er, in case you missed it, that little sporting event called the Super Bowl was last night. What’s obviously far more interesting than whoever won the game is which celebrities turned up to watch it, and how they all reacted. Here’s a complete rundown of all the celebrities who were witnessed performing songs, cheering on their teams or being booed by the crowd (*cough* Taylor Swift *cough*) at the 2025 Super Bowl.

In a severe throwback to 2016, Taylor Swift booked out a private box for her and the remaining members of her squad. All three HAIM sisters (Este, Daniella and Alana) her childhood friend Ashley Avignone and Ice Spice turned up. There was no sign of Blake Lively, who I’m guessing is kind of busy right now.

She wore a T necklace, which I’m guessing is a reference to the Call It What You Want line “I want to wear his initial n a chain round my neck”.

The crowd was not especially pleased to see Taylor Swift, and booed when the cameras cut to her. American football fans do this at a lot of NFL games, because there was an era when she was shown on the stadium screens almost as much as the actual players.

Er, Donald Trump showed up

The former The Apprentice host and current president of the United States went to watch the sport. He’s the first US president to go to the Super Bowl. He made his grand appearance an hour before the event started, and walked around the field with Ivanka.

Donald Trump seems to have had more opinions on Taylor Swift than on the actual football. He wrote on his own social site Truth: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got booed out of the stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving.”

Note: Taylor Swift was booed but stayed for the whole game.

She sang a stripped-back version of Hold My Hand and it was very moving.

So many celebs had cameos in Kendrick Lamar’s show

In my head, the Super Bowl is a concert with an opening act of men in silly outfits kicking a ball about. Obvs Kendrick Lamar slayed in his set. SZA made an appearance. Serena Williams popped up while Kendrick was performing that Drake diss song Not Like Us. The song goes, “from Alondra down to Central, better not speak on Serena”. Serena Williams used to date Drake, btw.

Samuel L Jackson also showed up in a stars and stripes suit as a homage to Uncle Sam, which I believe makes sense as a concept if you’re American.

The audience was full of celebs

Honestly, I wouldn’t have time to watch the actual sport. I’d be too busy looking in the crowd for famous people. So many A-list celebrities were at the 2025 Super Bowl.

Jay Z took his daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter on a family day out.

Tom Cruise was difficult to identify as his face looks extremely different to how it used to.

Anne Hathaway used to live in Philly, so was cheering away for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Paul Rudd, Adam Sandler and Paul McCartney were spotted talking to each other during the game. Paul Rudd was decked from head to toe in Chiefs merch.

People also witnessed *takes deep breath* Louis Tomlinson, Pete Davidson, Miles Teller, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Costner, Kevin Costner, Rob Lowe and Tom Brady lurking among the crowds.
