Here’s the shocking real reason Taylor Swift was publicly booed at the Super Bowl

The 2025 Super Bowl took place last night, but it seems not everybody was in high spirits after Taylor Swift was publicly booed when shown on the camera.
During the high profile sporting event of the year, the camera panned to Taylor Swift and showed her on the jumbotron which led to a huge amount of jeers and booing towards her.
The Super Bowl isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has been booed during a football game, so why exactly was she subject to such backlash this time?

Some people think that the negativity to seeing her was simply from the Eagles fans who are largely from Philadelphia, where Taylor was originally from.
One person wrote: “Eagles fans are booing her. She’s originally from Philly area but obviously rooting for Travis and Chiefs.”
It seems some people took the abuse even further than just verbal, as some Super Bowl attendees had made shirts which said “F**k Taylor Swift” in large letters on them.
NFL writer Dov Kleiman condemned the shirts, writing: “Awful: Eagles fans have made shirts to give out cursing out Taylor Swift for the Super Bowl. There’s no place for this in sports.”

However, whilst Taylor Swift hasn’t currently addressed the booing she received during the 2025 Super Bowl, she has previously talked about other instances.
One such instance was against those who were angry at her being shown on camera during one of Travis’ games in December 2023, as she told Time: “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
