Brody Jenner has just responded to the long, drawn-out rumors that he’s faced for years. It’s been a while since he appeared on The Hills, but The Kardashians‘ sibling has finally clapped back at people who claim he’s making money off his sisters, and even answered questions about his turbulent relationship with Caitlyn Jenner.

Recently, Brody has come back into the limelight, a little bit like his former co-star, Spencer Pratt. He’s been doing lots of interviews, such as when he said he simply isn’t that close to Kendall and Kylie Jenner because they grew up in separate homes – but this recent chat with Bustle is the juiciest one he’s done yet.

Brody shuts down rumors he makes money from Kardashians

Brody has shut down all the rumors that he makes any money from The Kardashians. He basically doesn’t get a dime, regardless of them being millionaires! He told Bustle: “Kendall and Kylie are my sisters. We have the same last name, but we don’t share a bank account.” In fact, he gets most of his income by DJing at music venues, as well as from his tequila seltzer brand, Mamitas.

He said, “People are still like, ‘Wait, you DJ?’ People only want to think of me as Brody from The Hills.” Brody doesn’t work all year round, but spends a few months out to really zone in on traveling around for gigs and added: “I work really hard for, you know, seven, eight months or whatever, and then take two months off where you have no distraction.”

“It wasn’t like we were getting any money from the Kardashians ever,” Brody added. He appeared on a few of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians episodes here and there, including one time when he got mad at a man for touching Kendall’s butt, but it’s not like he ever received any of the income they made from E! back then.

He ‘never got any child support’ from Caitlyn Jenner

Brody has revealed he didn’t receive any child support from his parent Caitlyn Jenner, who he’s had a turbulent relationship with. “[Caitlyn] won the Olympics, so I clearly have some of that in me,” he said. Had she been more present in his childhood, he wondered if she would have said, “‘Hey, wow, Brody’s really good at this’ or ‘Hey, don’t quit.’”

A representative for Caitlyn Jenner told Bustle that Brody’s mother and songwriter, Linda Thompson, waived child support and alimony at the time of divorce in exchange for an upfront payment of 100% of the marital assets, which amounted to millions of dollars. Caitlyn was absent during Brody’s childhood, instead focusing on building the Kardashian-Jenner empire while married to Kris Jenner.

The experience has made Brody prioritise his daughter. Brody, who previously came up with the idea for The Hills with Spencer Pratt, said, “My life just revolves around my daughter. I think you can work yourself to death. But now that I’ve had a daughter, I want to make more time to be there for her, especially at this time in her life.”

Wait, he’s never been on their private jet?!

Everyone and their dog knows the Kardashians basically never take car journeys anymore. It’s the private jet or nothing, such as when Kim Kardashian took that half-hour trip from LA to NYC for the Met to Germany and back in under 48 hours, or going to an Usher concert but needing to get back home for her 1.30am spray tan.

Brody admitted, “I don’t get to go on the pink jet, though I would love to.” The likes of Scott Disick and other friends of the family, such as Maliqa Haqq, have all rode the jet – it’s time for Brody to have a go, surely!
