Here’s four activities you can do in Leeds to de-stress post exam season

We’re all in need of a bit of R and R

And breathe…finally exam season has come to an end.

If all the revision and cramming has left you feeling shattered, and you’re still on the come down from the stress, we’ve got a few ideas for some well-earned TLC before second semester gets into full swing.

Bonus – they involve leaving Laidlaw for longer than 10 minutes to get a meal deal.

Puppy yoga

If your New Year’s resolution list involved being more active then this one is for you.

Don your matching gym set and head on down to do some yoga and play with some adorable pups.

The benefits of hanging out with some cute dogs are obvious, but you’ll also be doing a good deed by helping socialise the puppies and get them used to human interaction.

Don’t forget to take your digital camera to capture a few insta-worthy snaps.

Paint (and sip)

If you’re wishing to exercise your creative side, grab your nearest and dearest and head to one of many pottery painting studios in Leeds. With a wide choice of items available, from mugs to plates and ornaments, there really is something for everyone. Plus, some establishments offer Paint and Sip sessions so you can unleash your inner Bob Ross and have a glass of wine (or three).

Retail therapy

Perhaps retail therapy is more your vibe?

Leeds is packed full of independent shops selling a variety of bits from quirky jewellery to hand-poured candles.

If you don’t feel like braving the cold weather during your shopping trip, head inside the Corn Exchange to take advantage of the unique shops and the cosy café.

Brunch

An oldie but a goodie for some “friend therapy”. You can’t beat a spot of brunch with your besties and Leeds has got more than enough options.

Maybe you’re looking for a relaxing meal at Olive & Rye, a huge stack of pancakes at Farmhouse or perhaps a boozy bottomless brunch is on the cards.
