People think this weird Squid Game cast photo shows who lives and dies in season three

After Squid Game season two, all kinds of theories about what will happen next are circling, including who will die and survive.

The dystopian thriller is full of dramatic deaths, so it’s guaranteed that we’ll lose a few more of the characters in season three, but who?

Well, people think a weird cast photo that the official Netflix Korea page shared on Instagram reveals exactly that.

In the image, some actors are sitting down on the steps while others are standing up, and the order seems really random.

It looks like they’re trying to tell us something, and people have a theory that those sitting down are the ones who will die.

If that’s true, the survivors will be Gi-hun (Player 456), the ex-marine (Player 388), No-eul (Guard 011) and Hyun-ju (Player 120).

Going by that theory, the Front Man, Jun-ho (the police officer), Myung-gi (Player 333) and the mum and son duo (Player 007 and 149) will all die.

Player 222, the woman who is pregnant, is also sitting down in the cast photo, so people think she could sadly die in the next installment too.

Netflix captioned the post: “New story, deeper repercussion. Squid Game season two is now streaming.”

However, as revealed by director Hwang Dong-hyuk, season two and three are actually both part of the same season.

So, the image could still be giving us a clue about what will happen at the end of the next series.

“I wrote seasons two and three at the same time, and we were in production for both simultaneously, and currently we are in the post-production process for season three,” he told Deadline.

“When I was writing the script for the two seasons, I felt like there was a big turning point or an inflection point, and that was the end of episode seven, so I thought that it would do it justice to have a separate season after that.”

“That’s why I had the first seven episodes as season two and then the rest of season three.”
