If you thought you’d seen it all with The Ultimatum on Netflix, you were wrong – season three was easily the most chaotic and explosive yet and we’ve gobbled up every second of it. You can always count on this show to bring couples with so much baggage and history who aren’t afraid to let the world see it all fall apart – and it’s been wild. The explosive season three reunion resolved all The Ultimatum loose ends and chucked everyone right into the manic deep end – so here’s a rundown of all its wildest moments.

Zaina and J.R. post-show fireworks

As soon as Zaina and J.R. walk in it’s absolute bedlam, with Zaina’s opening line literally being “I was fed nothing but lies from the man who claimed to love me so deeply for three years”. If I was J.R. I’d just go home after that. The whole reunion they’re on opposing ends of the room.

When we last saw them, J.R. didn’t propose and Zaina was ready to walk away. After the show ended, they moved out of their apartment but then moved over the road from each other? It wasn’t done and dusted though and the two swapped Christmas gifts. Very festive.

Zaina said there’s no chance of any reconciliation though and she’s moved on and has been going on dates, saying “I won’t be using yesterday’s pain as today’s perspective.” J.R. was open to it, however. Awkward.

Obviously the contestants don’t have their phones, but to bring receipts Zaina asks Vanessa and Nick if they have their phones and she gets them to scan her NAIL to reveal a QR code that shows them the receipts between her and J.R. that solves one of the biggest mysteries from The Ultimatum in truly one of the wildest moments of the season three reunion.

Hall Pass Mystery? RESOLVED

ICYMI, J.R. accused Scotty of just looking for a “hall pass” on the show, which lead to Scotty confronting Zaina about it. When the code on Zaina’s nail was scanned it was revealed she was actually innocent in the whole situation. Zaina thinks J.R. said otherwise to try and come between her and Scotty. Wild.

Cue the montage the show aired of all of J.R.’s evil moments. Savage but deserved. The clips showed J.R. saying lines like “I’m not seeking sex out of this experience, but I do like challenges,” and “I like a good blow job with the vibrator.” Then, in a conversation with Micah, J.R. said, “I’m trying to be on that vibe for three weeks. I got a hall pass.” OOP.

What happened to Nick and Sandy?

Nick said he “begged and pleaded” for them to make it work but Sandy was basically not ready to commit. And Sandy confirmed she’s been in touch with J.R…. so!

Why did Dave and Vanessa leave the show?

In the trial marriage, Vanessa was with Nick and wasn’t happy. “There were a lot of reasons why I decided to leave. Nick you are probably expecting some resolution or answers out of this.” She then said “Once we moved in, it felt like a light switch went off, and there were just things that made me feel really uncomfortable.”

Vanessa and Dave didn’t get engaged since the show but did say they’ve been ring shopping.

A success story!

Mariah and Caleb got engaged on the show and are still engaged now! Literally a Christmas miracle.

However…

Shortlived, because Aria confronted Caleb after the two were paired together for the trial marriage. Aria says Caleb denied their romantic connection and always likes her stories on Instagram. “I think you’re capping right now. You’re giving off mixed signals like you’re engaged and happy,” Aria says.

Mariah then says “Are you fucking kidding me, Caleb? What is going on?” YIKES.

Aria and Scotty broke up

And the big finale is that these two got engaged but then called it off. They tried to make it work but Aria claims she made a mistake, telling Scotty “You don’t love me the way I want to be loved.”

What a load of wild moments from the reunion, The Ultimatum remains the most ridiculous show on telly and season three kept levelling up.
