Old videos of Mimii singing before Love Island have surfaced and they’re so iconic

If you were shocked by how good Mimii was in the Love Island talent show when she started singing, you shouldn’t be – because this has been a long time coming. Mimii’s family members, namely her mum and her cousin, have now shared three iconic videos on social media of a pre-fame young Mimii banging out the hits in talent shows and proving the Love Island diva was actually always singing – we just didn’t know it yet. The videos are all literally iconic and Mimii is so cute in them, bless her – so here’s a look at the iconic archived footage of our villa queen.

Mimii’s cousin Yolanda put a video on her story of Mimii belting out the absolutely classic Leona Lewis cover of Run by Snow Patrol. Aka, the go to song any of us sang at talent shows and end of year assemblies when we were this age. The TikTok Love Island accounts were rapid in bootlegging it up and it’s so cute.

An even younger Mimii is here belting out Let It Go from Frozen – and the caption says she sings in the church choir and also used to enter singing competitions when she was a kid. Mimii singing then and now in the Love Island villa is actually melting my heart.
