The ‘On the Horizon’ theatre festival will showcase nine plays, as well as guest speakers and other events, from 28th May to 4th June. The plays will take place in the School of ACT building on campus east. The festival has been produced and performed by third year Uni of York theatre students.

The theatre festival will run during week seven and is a necessity if you are looking to add a splash of culture to your end of term alcohol fuelled festivities. One of the festival’s producers Posy told The York Tab: “On The Horizon Theatre Festival will showcase exciting and emerging talent, with a week’s worth of plays, events and speakers, this theatre festival is not to be missed”.

The festival will showcase each play twice and topics cover everything from fencing (which took A LOT of practice) to plane crashes, and even the toxic relationship trope of Ross and Rachel.
