On Saturday night a PUB BRAWL occurred at the Mitre in Portswood.

Police were called to a fight involving up to ten members of the public, who had been drinking at the pub on Portswood Road at around 9pm.

As a result of the fracas between the rowdy boozers, a doorman suffered a shoulder injury. One student who was on her way to Sainsbury’s told the Soton Tab:

I was walking past and saw a member of staff taking care of the injured bouncer and two young men were hanging around outside. One of them was on his phone discussing the fight that had taken place. On my way back I noticed there were police officers at the scene.

Between five and ten people were involved in the brawl. Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
