The University tram stop will be closing for repairs

The stop will be closed for five days in August

The University tram stop is to close for five days in August for repairs, The Sheffield Star reports.

The stop, as well as the Glossop Road stop, will be closed between 25-30th August 2019 whilst the tram tracks are replaced. The University tram stop connects students to West Street and the City Centre, Meadowhall, and Hillsborough.

The current tracks were installed in the 1990s, and the repairs will cause disruption to stops at Shalesmoor and Hillsborough at various different stages.

Tram replacement buses will be in service when repairs are underway. The service is expected to be running in full over Tramlines weekend.
