The Division Street haunt is renowned for its s’mores doughnuts and £3 coffee and a doughnut deal.
Sheffield has an abundance of independent coffee shops, but it is easy to see why Steam Yard is up there with the best of the best. In winter, its cosy minimalist interior is a welcome retreat. In summertime, the red-brick courtyard is the perfect place for snacking on their famous ‘fro-nuts’ (that’s an ice cream doughnut.)
It can get busy at lunchtime hours, but it is definitely worth waiting for a seat. Their range of mouth-watering doughnuts alone is enough to draw you in. For coffee lovers, their menu is equally extensive.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect daytime Tinder date location, or somewhere different to pop into for lunch with course mates after a lecture, Steam Yard is definitely worth a try. It’s officially one of the best coffee shops in the UK, after all.
