This is the real reason Phoebe Dynevor isn’t playing Daphne in Bridgerton season three

‘I’m just excited to watch as a viewer’

Now that Bridgerton season three is out, everyone is getting ready to be absolutely obsessed with Penelope and Colin’s story. But everyone is just equally as excited about some of the returning characters, ESPECIALLY seeing Anthony and Kate all happy in their married life. But if you’ve started watching the show or binged the first four episodes that have been released, you’ll notice there’s a distinct lack of one character, Daphne Bridgerton.

Is Phoebe Dynevor in Bridgerton Season three?

So sadly Phoebe Dynevor will not be reprising her role as Daphne Bridgerton in Bridgerton season three. After leading the very first season and appearing in the second, Phoebe Dynevor has left Bridgerton. In an interview with ScreenRant, she said she is “sadly not in season three. Potentially in the future. But season three, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer.”

Why isn’t Phoebe Dynevor playing Daphne in Bridgerton Season three?

Via Netflix

Phoebe Dynevor decided to leave the show of her own accord and not due to any bad blood between the cast or crew. She chose to leave as she thinks Daphne’s character arc is finished. “Well I did my two seasons,” she told Variety. “I’ve done what I wanted to do with that character and she had a great arc. If they ask me back in the future, who knows?”

Bridgerton gods, please ask her back.
