All you need to know about Notts’ Winter Wonderland 2022

Eva BywaterIt’s mid November and that can only mean one thing, Christmas. For many this is the best time of the year where you can put work off in favour for festive activities with your besties at uni. Once again preparations are in full swing for one of the most popular events in the Nottingham calendar, Winter Wonderland.
Whether you decide to take a date or enjoy it with your housemates, it is definitely one of the best things to get you in the festive spirit. Here’s everything you need to know about this years Christmas market in Notts:
It will be open from 15th November – 31st December in Old Market Square. The market itself will be open from 11am on weekdays (10am weekends) until 5:30pm, while other attractions such as the ice rink and ice bar will be open until 11pm.
Not only will the ice rink be making a return to the market this year, but for the first time ever there will be a Sky Skate ice path – giving you the opportunity to skate metres above the crowds and take in the christmas lights.
As well as the ice rink the usual favourites such as the Ferris wheel and the Ice bar, Sur La Piste and Altitude bars will be making a return this year. There will also be an array of food with many market stalls offering mouthwatering treats and handmade gifts as well as festive favourites such as mulled wine.
