Being a Student Guide is literally the easiest way to make money
Work an open or applicant day and earn £8.90 an hour? Yes please.
Being a student is expensive after all those LCR nights won't pay for themselves, fortunately we've found the perfect opportunity for students to earn some extra cash whilst doing pretty nothing.
Open days at UEA mostly consist of doing tours and answering questions, whilst the applicant days are morning tours and afternoons with your subject schools, eating lunch and chatting to prospective students. Piece of cake right.
Most shifts can be between 4-8 hours, thats an earning potential of between £35-£70 per shift, and really you don't have to do very much.
These applicant days are continuing throughout Spring with a couple more open days over the warmer months.
As a Student Guide, your roles would vary from:
-Leading campus tours
-Leading accommodation tours
-Showcasing your subject area
-Manning registration areas
-Greeting visitors and answering their questions
-Talking about your student experience (including things like clubs and societies)
-Helping set up and run events, including behind the scenes admin work
All pretty easy stuff to be honest. Plus signing up and booking shifts is really easy, like really easy. You can just book whenever you're free.
