Manchester Uni moves up two spaces in uni league table to 15th best in UK

But it’s 104th for student satisfaction


New published league tables show the University of Manchester in 15th place nationally, up two spaces from last year.

In 22 subjects the uni ranked in the top 10 nationally including French, German, nursing, physics, computer science and dentistry.

However, the university did rank 104th for student satisfaction down again from last year.

UoM got a total 801/1000 score, coming 15th for research quality, 16th for entry standards and 14th for student to staff ratio.

The results published by The Complete University Guide are one of several published yearly.

Meanwhile MMU ranked 59th in the same table down five places from last year with just four subjects in the top 10 nationally. MMU came 60th for research, 58th for student satisfaction and 69th for student to staff ratio.

At the top of the table, Oxford and Cambridge switched places with Oxford now ranked the best uni in the country.
