A Manchester student was arrested last night for causing trouble with a crossbow.

Officers arrived and arrested a 22-year-old female student, who had reportedly been pointing the firearm at people.

“She was arrested for affray but was let off with a caution. She hadn’t physically hurt anyone, but there was a potential to do so”, a Greater Manchester Police spokesman told The Tab.

“The crossbow was found to be unloaded, and it doesn’t look like shots were fired”.

It couldn’t be confirmed whether the firearm was seized by police.

About 400 students live at Grosvenor, which is just north of the UoM Oxford Road campus.
