AU Ball early bird tickets sell out in record time

Franki AlpertThe Loughborough AU Ball is the social event of the year for every budding athlete at our prestigious, sporting institution.
Early bird tickets went on sale today at 12pm, through the Loughborough Student University website, but within seconds sports stars were left disgruntled as they sold out in record time.
The university released 50 early bird tickets, prior to their general release next Monday where 700 tickets will go on sale, and by less than half a minute these select few tickets were sold out.
Luke Thomson, the current VP Sport Exec, posted on the Official Loughborough Freshers page, confirming that the tickets sold out in a record breaking time.
However, some students appeared to be able to get tickets after they apparently sold out. Harry, a second team Squash player, spoke directly to The Tab and said: “I managed to secure myself a ticket at 1:20pm even though the website said they had sold out at midday.”
