VOTE NOW for you favourite Leeds drunk food places

The best part of the night

| UPDATED

Is there ever a night out that doesn’t end with a fast food binge? The cravings kick in and before you know it you’ve ordered 20 nuggets, 3 pizzas and 4 portions of chips to fulfil them. Now’s the chance to have your say on which place does the best drunk food after a night out in Leeds.

FLAMES

Let’s be honest, flames is just a cheaper, greasier version of McDonald’s. But there’s something that’s always so tempting about it. Whether it’s because it’s perfectly situated opposite Parkinson so you will inevitably go past it on your way home, or whether it’s the temptation of the cheap deals of nuggets and chips. Either way, there is something oh so appealing about Flames after a night out – putting aside the constant risk of contracting some sort of food poisoning. But let’s move past that.

MCDONALD’S / SUBWAY / KFC

These three are easily able to be put under the same category. Everyone has their favourite out of the three and will always gravitate towards these more expensive, but delicious, places on a night out. Whether you’re in the mood for that big mac, foot long, or popcorn chicken these places never seem to disappoint. Although, avoiding any of them around 3am is recommended, unless you want to be queuing for over half an hour. But made worth it when it’s time to demolish those 20 nuggets that you will definitely regret the next morning.

CRISPYS

Fish and chips is one Great British delight which we are able to enjoy. After a heavy night of drinking, there is nothing better than a greasy beer battered fish and chips and hey, the batter is said to soak up the alcohol quicker. So, not only is it delicious but it can also help soothe the hangover in the morning. Can’t argue with that.

ROYAL FISHERIES

Let’s all be honest with ourselves. Royal Fisheries is just Hyde Park’s shit attempt at Crispy’s. But you know what, when you can’t be bothered to trek to Headingley for a fish and chips, this is the number one place to go.

ZULFI’S

Zulfi’s is perfectly situated on the middle of Brudenell Road, making it very easy to stop off at on the journey home after a long night. What can be said about Zulfi’s, it pretty much can solve whatever craving you may have. Kebabs, samosas, pizzas and even burgers. They have got everything you could ever want. What’s not to love?

CHICKENSTOP

Ever been in the situation where all you fancy is a nando’s after a night out, only to find out that heartbreakingly it shut about 4 hours before you even left the club. Chickenstop will be there to save the day. The worse, but cheaper, way of having a chicken filled meal at the end of the night. Their menu of course spans much wider than just chicken but, as it’s in the name, this is their one grasp at ever reaching the fame of Nando’s.

TJ’S

TJ’s is definitely a favourite with many students for drunken food. Pizza’s, kebabs and burgers are all deemed as their speciality and, with such a wide variety, there’s not really any reason why it could go wrong.

DOMINO’S

So, it could be argued that the best has been left to last. Everyone knows Domino’s. 24hour delivery is something which is always enough to tempt anyone, any time of day Domino’s is there to save you. Moving past the ridiculous prices, there is no denying that a large pizza, potato wedges and the chocolate cookies can finish off a night perfectly. The bank account may not agree, but sober you will definitely thank drunk you for the cold morning pizza every time.

So what’s your favourite after a night out? Pizza, nuggets, kebabs? Have your say.
