Leeds Rag Fashion Show launches this week

They’re looking for people to get involved

Its that time of year again – the highly acclaimed Leeds RAG Fashion Show 2017 launches this week.

It’s one of the most anticipated events of the LUU Calendar – having won Event of the Year in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015. Last year the show boasted an audience of over 800 people. It was even covered by Tatler Magazine, and the after party was listed in Tatler’s Greatest Parties in the World. Even Jamie Laing asked to get involved.

This year’s launch party will take place at The Faversham, Tuesday the 22nd of November – tickets £4.

Assistant Director Helen Clifford said: “This year we are trying to give our audience a take home message through style. We want people to reimagine their wardrobes, for them to come away with a new perspective of fashion and understand the implications of where they shop and how they choose what to wear.”

If you fancy getting involved, LRFS are looking for vibrant new faces for the show, asking for “confident, fun individuals with bundles of personality.” And the best bit – no prior experience or requirements needed!

The open model casting call is from Tuesday the 15th to Thursday the 17th of November in the Worsley Building, University of Leeds in room SR 9.59/9.60 from 4pm-6pm on Wednesday 16th, and from 5pm-8pm on Thursday the 17th in room SR 9.58C/9.59.

So if any of you beautiful people fancy strutting your stuff down the LRFS Catwalk, come along to the casting and give it a go. (And recommending it to that really attractive person you can’t stop staring at in your lectures wouldn’t go amiss either).
