OFF WITH A BANG: BONFIRE NIGHT WHAT’S ON GUIDE

Can’t decide where to go for bonfire night? Take a look at our 5th November guide.

Remember, remember the 5th of November with some great events happening across the city.

Leeds’ parks will once again play host to some spectacular bonfire and fireworks displays, with an estimated 200,000 people expected to turn out. Here’s 3 of the best.

ROUNDHAY PARK

The city’s leading Bonfire Night destination, last year’s event was a record-breaker with 70,000 people attending the celebration.

The fire will be lit at 7.30pm, with an impressive fireworks display to follow at 8pm. There will also be a DJ set by Capital FM and food stands to buy refreshments.

Take buses 2 or 12 to get there.

HYDE PARK

The go-to event for most students living in the Hyde Park area.

Expect a huge bonfire at 7pm in the centre of Woodhouse Moor and fireworks at 7.30pm. Just try to avoid all the rockets going off on Brudenell Road on your way there.

BRAMLEY PARK

A popular one for people living in nearby Kirkstall and students wanting to avoid large crowds.

This is a smaller gathering which can easily be reached using buses16 or 49.
