A woman was sexually assaulted in Kelvingrove Park over the weekend

Police are currently investigating

A 29-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police cordoned off a section of the park yesterday, an area that some say is notorious for being more dangerous, as they investigated the attack.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland commented on the incident, stating: "Enquiries are ongoing after a report of a sexual assault on a 29-year-old woman in Kelvingrove Park in the early hours of Sunday."

Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101 immediately – as this could help fill in any blanks as the police attempt to arrest the person responsible.
