We also beat city rivals Strathclyde, which was ranked 55th and Caley, which came in at 69th.
This is the one that matters, forget all of the surveys that have come before.
We’re all really chuffed about it, storming all over the competition
Loughborough came first, followed by Harper Adams and Swansea in the overall poll for the top unis as rated by students.
The results of the Whatuni site are based on averages from reviews over the past year based on accommodation, societies, courses, lecturers, facilities and support.
The outcome was based on around 20,000 reviews by students, so there’s absolutely no input from grown-ups.
Glasgow School of Art came a close 11th despite the disastrous fire last year that saw many students lose their work.
Even Edinburgh came 18th, St Andrews 19th and Aberdeen at 61st.
