Castle Club near Princes Street has reopened under a new name

It looks a lot swankier than it did before

The nightclub formerly known as Castle on Queensferry Street Lane just off Princes Street, has reopened under the new name 'La Vida'.

Castle used to be home to the popular Friday night Moonshine a few years back and La Vida will kick off by continuing the venue's tradition of having big student Friday nights this evening with the launch of LOST Fridays – which will be run by the same people who've given Edinburgh Fiktion, Creme Soda and Rascals.

Equipped with three bars and three rooms of music, LOST Fridays will also have dirt cheap booze with shots at £1 and vodka mixers at £1.50.

By far the most important thing you need to know about La Vida though is that it's the closest club to the 24 hour Princes Street McDonald's.

If that's not going to tempt you, I'm not sure what will.
