5) Jonathan Edwards

Profession: British triple jumper and sports commentator

Best features: endless muscular legs

In 1995, local boy Jonathan Edwards was on top of the world after becoming the first athlete to jump 60 feet. To this day, no one has legally broken his triple jumping record. This alum takes 5^th place in our ranking.

Profession: Rugby player

Best features: his mighty thighs

England rugby sevens star Ollie Phillips has demonstrated his appetite for winning with Gloucester Rugby, Newcastle Falcons and pretty-in-pink Stade Français but he insists that he stills bleeds the Palatinate purple. Ollie’s thighs are massive and he’s just got that je-ne-sais-quoi that makes him an all-round babe.

Best features: sexy crew cut and mysterious gaze

A recent successful graduate, this gentleman is a player and he knows it. In case Threesixty Campus doesn’t ring a bell, they were the ones handing out jam doughnuts at the Fresher’s Fair. Shame that the DSU had already set up its own online system. That said, we’d definitely take a ride on that airplane.

2) Andrew Strauss

Profession: England cricketer

Best features: determination on the field and cheeky smile

South Africa born Andrew Strauss was one of our glorious countries most successful cricket captains, leading England to the top of the world’s rankings. He retired in 2012 after 100 test appearances and was rewarded by his teammates with 100 bottles of wine. Safe to say we’d play ball with you any day, Straussy.

He is the second highest try-scorer in English rugby history, was nicknamed Shaggy in his uni days, and is an inspirational public speaker. Former England centre Will Greenwood rightfully nabs first place in our ranking because he was part of the 2003 World-cup winning squad and, in Durham, that means you are for all essential purposes – God.

Number four on our list of fit lasses is Sophie Hosking. She went down in history with Kat Copeland racing in the lightweight women’s double skull at the London Olympics. As well as being an inspiration to us all, she’s also pretty cute. And her face is on a stamp.

Here’s another recent graduate who’s a bit of a dark horse amongst these big names. She’s been modeling and acting in London, waiting for the big break-through. Christina has a grasp on over fifteen world accents, and many other talents. Sophisticated and charming, she must be foreign, right?
