Songs of Praise hits Cambridge

The classic BBC show, Songs of Praise, is coming to Cambridge.

The anticipation is over: Songs of Praise is coming to Cambridge.

This weekend sees the legendary BBC classic film not one, but two programmes in the City’s Great St Mary’s Church.

The first is due to be aired on the second Sunday in Advent and the second, an exploration into the relationship between Science and Faith for the 350th Anniversary of the Royal Society, is to be shown in 2010.

The Tab can reveal that a number of  Christian celebrities, and Aled Jones, will be present.

Olympia Hetherington, a choral scholar at Jesus College said,"I am really excited. Aled Jones is a hot piece of ass, it’s a great opportunity."

A BBC representative commented "With such a wealth of choirs and choral societies in the area, we had hoped for a large turnout. However, at the moment we are not at capacity for the venue."
