On Saturday 10th June, Charlie and the Funk Factory are holding their biggest public gig yet at The Indie Lounge. It will see returning band Odd Soul back on the stage, and also the debut of second band Qualms which is described as ‘a four-piece original rock band from the West Midlands’. Both bands are comprised of UoB students so what better excuse do you need for a night out? It would be rude not to go and support your fellow student’s, right?

For those of you who don’t know, Charlie and the Funk Factory has played at numerous society balls at the university and an impressive half of their band is made up of students from our very own UoB. They aim to encourage live music at UoB and this event alone promises ‘a night of live funk, pop, soul, and disco classics’. There will be something for everyone with good old covers as well as ‘funky twists’ on popular party tunes. Tickets are only £3 online so if this is your kind of thing you really do have no excuse not to check it out.

So check out their Facebook page if you’re interested and get your tickets booked.
