Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage met his on-screen brother’s baby and sang her Soft Kitty

There’s nothing better than a wholesome story, and one about Iain Armitage from Young Sheldon meeting his on-screen brother’s baby is about as wholesome as you can get! Iain shared the adorable first meeting on his Instagram, and in a true full circle moment he even sang the little baby to sleep with Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty and I’m truly weeping.
Montana Jordan who plays Georgie and his girlfriend announced the birth of their baby daughter, Emma Rae just one week after the Young Sheldon finale. And it didn’t take long before the whole cast of Young Sheldon, including Raegan Revord and Iain Armitage quickly came round to visit.

Iain referred to himself as Emma Rae’s uncle in an adorable caption, saying: “I finally got to meet my brand new niece! I spent time with Montana and Jenna’s sweet baby and she’s beautiful! I’m not at all biased but she’s the smartest, sweetest, most adorable human and I’m proud to be her Uncle Iain. Montana is getting ready to start filming his new show and I couldn’t be happier for him and his beautiful family. Note- I don’t usually sing Soft Kitty to babies but I’m learning that they genuinely seem to like it. Have you soothed your baby with this song?! Congratulations, Montana and Jenna and welcome to the world, Emma Rae Jordan! You are very, very loved.” It’s all too much.
Iain Armitage choosing to sing Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty to the baby is a huge The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon reference, as in the show a grown up Sheldon makes Penny sing the song to him when he’s sick. He explains his mother would always sing it to him, and in an episode of Young Sheldon, we get to see Mary sing it to him for the first time.

When Raegan Revord met Emma Rae there was some speculation the baby could have been named after her. Fans were quick to spot the similarities between the actor’s daughter’s middle name and the first name of Montana’s on-screen sister, Raegan Revord.
Fans have speculated that the newborn’s middle name is a tribute to Raegan, as the spelling matches her first name. “Is the middle name for @raeganrevord!” one fan commented on Montana’s post, whilst another fan said: “@raeganrevord I heard the middle name was in honour of you, congratulations girl! Hope it’s true!”
