Her statement did not go down well

YouTuber, content creator and frequent Cody Ko collaborator Brittany Broski is getting dragged online for her response to the allegations against Cody Ko from Tana Mongeau, who claims she slept with Ko when she was 17 and he was 25. Broski posted a statement to her Instagram story, and social media is certainly not happy with the way she worded it.

The allegations, which Tana Mongeau has been bringing up since 2021, is gaining major viral traction this last week after D’Angelo Wallace posted a video essay on YouTube investigating everything that’s been said.

Tana Mongeau previously claimed on her Cancelled podcast that she had a sexual relationship with Cody Ko when he was 25 and she was 17. It came out during a discussion on which of her sexual partners had “the smallest d*ck”, to which Tana said “Cody Ko… I can say that, I was literally 17.” Because of the subject matter of this question, the details were kind of skipped over regarding the age until D’Angelo Wallace made a video essay explaining it all this week.

Tana brought it up again on the podcast saying “This isn’t just some crazy tea. I hooked up with Cody Ko when I was 17 and he was 25. Yeah it happened. At 25 now … I would never do anything like that so I’m like, ‘What the fuck was wrong with you?’”

Because of Brittany Broski frequently collaborating with Cody Ko, the pressure was mounting during the allegations resurfacing for her to make a statement and when she did it didn’t go down well.

Brittany Broski writes: “I’m crushed to learn about the Cody allegations. If it’s proven to be true then that’s extremely upsetting as a collaborator and longtime fan. I find all of this disturbing, inappropriate and just flat out disappointing.”

However, some have defended Brittany Broski after a tweet dragging her statement went viral.

One writes “Somehow Brittany Broski, Tana Mongeau and Kelsey Kreppel are the focus of the Cody Ko fall out. How are you all making the women the centre of a situation that a man is said to have created? Keep the heat where it needs to be.”

Another points out “The way y’all are dogpiling more on Brittany Broski for saying ‘if proven to be true’ to avoid being sued for defamation (whilst still calling his actions disgusting) more than the actual man is brain rot at its peak.”

Cody Ko is yet to make a public statement about the allegations.

The Tab has reached out to Cody Ko for comment.
