A full rundown of all the allegations against Cody Ko from fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau

Ko is accused of being intimate with Mongeau when she was 17 and he was 25

| UPDATED

YouTuber Cody Ko is in the midst of online furore right now after fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau claims they had a sexual relationship when she was 17 and he was 25. The backlash has come after YouTuber D’Angelo Wallace called Cody Ko out sometime after Mongeau made her allegations, saying people haven’t taken Tana Mongeau seriously in her claims against Ko due to the internet’s general apathy towards her due to “messy” comments she has made in the past.

@junkee

once again impressed that d’angelo wallace is calling out not only the allegations but also the fact that the community didn’t speak up about it when tana first brought them up @Tana Mongeau #tanamongeau #tana #dangelo #dangelowallace #codyko #youtube #youtuber

Tana Mongeau previously claimed on her Cancelled podcast that she had a sexual relationship with Cody Ko when he was 25 and she was 17. It came out during a discussion on which of her sexual partners had “the smallest d*ck”, to which Tana said “Cody Ko… I can say that, I was literally 17.” Because of the subject matter of this question, the details were kind of skipped over regarding the age until D’Angelo Wallace made a video essay explaining it all this week.

Tana brought it up again on the podcast saying “This isn’t just some crazy tea. I hooked up with Cody Ko when I was 17 and he was 25. Yeah it happened. At 25 now … I would never do anything like that so I’m like, ‘What the fuck was wrong with you?’”

Tana also claims fellow YouTuber Gabbie Hanna told Cody Ko of her age at a Playlist Live event. Tana claims “There was a situation with Gabbie Hanna at a Playlist Live event where she pulled him aside and told him, like, ‘Yo, she’s 17.’ And then we still went and hooked up.” D’Angelo Wallace also plays a clip of Gabbie Hanna telling a similar story in a clip in the new video about the Cody Ko allegations. The full video, titled “An uncomfortable conversation about Cody Ko”, is linked below.

D’Angelo claims that Cody Ko has been scrubbing the allegations from the internet since Tana Mongeau began saying them as far back as 2021, with Reddit posts and comments being deleted. D’Angelo Wallace says “You’re [Cody] getting away with it because commentary YouTube has a serious problem. I can’t blame any of your viewers or my viewers for not hearing about this because you’ve done such a good job hiding it up until now that I only found out about it recently.”

Fellow YouTuber and collaborator with Cody Ko Brittany Broski released a statement on her Instagram addressing the allegations and the backlash.

Brooks writes “I’m crushed to learn about the Cody allegations. If it’s proven to be true then that’s extremely upsetting as a collaborator and longtime fan. I find all of this disturbing, inappropriate and just flat out disappointing.”

What has Tana Mongeau herself said about the allegations going viral? When talking to her friend Trisha Paytas on a podcast on June 20th, Mongeau said “But the thing that was actually really heartbreaking to me, and kind of crazy to me, is after it started going viral, seeing so many people not believing me. Being like, ‘It’s Tana, so who cares.’ And then I started feeling bad for so many other girls who maybe look up to me and want to speak their truth and see the way that people just don’t believe people.”

Cody Ko is yet to make a public statement about the allegations.
