Ellie RingShout it from the rooftops, the first rumoured Love Island 2024 contestant has arrived and of course she’s a vibey nepo baby. Gigi Simon has apparently caught the eye of producers after they saw her mum all over TV, but who exactly is her mum?
Gigi’s mum is none other than Lauren Simon who has been a regular on The Real Housewives of Chesire, so you know they’re absolutely minted. She was also set to appear on Celebrity Big Brother this year but was axed last minute, although she’s also appeared on Dinner Date and First Dates.

The Sun revealed that Gigi is “really keen to sign up” for Love Island 2024 and that the production thinks she would make a great contestant. The source revealed: “It’s early stages and she’s just in talks but Gigi is really keen to sign up. She’s obviously got ITV connections through her mum but if she does get on the show, it won’t be because of that.”

And it looks like we won’t have too long to wait until our favourite reality TV show starts again as according to a source from The Sun, Love Island will start on Monday 3rd June 2024. The source revealed: “Fans will be pleased as it’s just nine weeks away – summer doesn’t start until Love Island is back on TV.”
We can expect lots of drama as always this year and it looks like Maya Jama will be returning to her role as host because let’s be honest nobody does it better than her. The summer series of Love Island 2024 is the classic one we all know and love and I genuinely cannot wait for it to start.
