Inside Fred Sirieix’s wholesome life: From his huge net worth to Olympic athlete daughter

Right now, Fred Sirieix has traded in his fancy celeb life for a jungle in Australia as he appears on the latest series of I’m A Celeb. He’s used to posh restaurants and fancy wine, but for the foreseeable all he’s getting is rice and beans cooked over an open fire, and a bottle of water.

So, when he’s not back to basics in as a jungle campmate, what is the life Fred Sirieix lives? From his incredible career to his relationship and children, here’s everything we know.

Fred Sirieix is engaged, and has two children

Fred, who is now 51, was brought up in Limoges, France and his parents both worked in healthcare. He has said his parents inspired him to work in the service industry.

He trained at a Michelin star restaurant in France, before moving to London. He then worked in various London restaurants, including Galvin at Windows, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the London Hilton hotel, for 14 years, until December 2019.

Fred keeps his love life a little more private – and has never publicly named his current partner. Instead, he calls his fiancée “fruitcake” in Instagram posts. The couple made their relationship public in 2018, and in March 2020 announced their engagement.

Fred has said he met his fiancée while walking down the street in Peckham and was captivated by her eyes and smile. They are set to get married in Jamaica next year.

Fred has two children, Andrea and Lucien, with his ex-partner Alex, who he was with for 12 years but the couple never married. Andrea is a professional British diver, and won gold in the women’s 10m platform at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Fred was in the audience watching her win.

Andrea is also an Adidas ambassador, and was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020.

He’s most famous for First Dates on Channel 4

Fred is best known as the Maître d’ for the First Dates restaurant and on First Dates Hotel, but has also hosted Million Pound Menu and did two seasons of Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo.

He started on First Dates in 2013, presented Million Pound Menu in 2018 and Gordon, Gino and Fred started in 2017. In March 2014, Fred was awarded an honorary degree from the University of West London.

Fred has also published a number of books

Since becoming a household name, Fred has released three books. He’s published two all about wine and the service industry. One is called Secret Service and “lifts the lid” on the restaurant world, and the other is Wine Uncorked, and details Fred’s guide to the wine world. Fred has also published a book about First Dates, which is the “official companion” to the Channel 4 show.
