The finish date for Love Island 2023 has been revealed and it’s depressingly close

What am I meant to do with myself now?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the date for the final, and sad sad end, of Love Island 2023 is upon us. The day the show draws to a close has been revealed, and you might want to prepare yourself for how close it actually is.

In less than two weeks we will see who will be crowned winter Love Island 2023 winners – yes, two weeks! ITV has confirmed the final will be shown on Monday 13th March at 9pm.

A source told The Sun: ā€œThere was speculation that the current series might only run for six weeks as that was the format for the first winter Love Island outing in 2020.Ā By the same token, there was talk last year that the summer series could be extended as ratings were so impressive thanks to the likes ofĀ Ekin-SuĀ andĀ Davide.

ā€œBut bosses plan to stick to their usual eight week schedule and crown their winners on March 13th. That gives the Islanders just weeks to crack on and find love.”

So, in two weeks time we will have two new winners who will take over the crown from Ekin-Su and Davide. Usually, the Islanders are given the choice to choose love or money in the final, but last year was the first year this wasn’t done. It isn’t yet clear if the stick or twist ending will be brought back this season.

Honestly, I couldn’t call who is going to win the show right now. But bookies obviously have their favourites for you to place bets on, and right now they’re backing Jessie and Will. According to Betfair, their odds currently sit at 10/11.

Betfair added Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall and Samie Elishi and Tom Clare follow closely behind as joint second-favourites at 5/2. Right at the bottom of the ranking is Rosie and Casey, and Olivia and Maxwell.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: ā€œAs we near the final week of winter Love Island, Jessie and Will remain the odds-on favourites to win the series, despite Jessie falling out with her fellow Islanders last night. They are followed by Lana and Ron and Samie and Tom who are both 5/2 to go all the way. Other contenders to win the Ā£50k cash prize include Sanam and Kai at 8/1.ā€
