These are the youngest and oldest Love Islanders to go on the show
CEO of not looking your age
Since 2015 Love Island has been a staple of summer, providing us with constant entertainment and some absolutely wild moments. But is there anything more wild than when you find out one of the boys entering the villa claims to be 20 years old when they literally look about 30+ (Finn and Tommy, ahem). Even this week, people were bewildered to find out runner up Molly-Mae Hague was only just celebrating her 21st birthday.
Inspired by this revelation, we looked across the contestants of all six series to find out the youngest and oldest Love Islanders to ever grace the show. Prepare to be shocked.
The youngest Love Island contestants
So look, there’s a lot of past Love Island contestants who are all between the ages of 20-21. Winter Love Island was basically made up of 20-year-olds, so rather than boring you with all the January 2020 lot, here are the most surprising young Islanders of all time:
Finley Tapp, 20
Age in the show: 20
Series: 6
Model and influencer Finley won this year’s Winter Love Island, after he won the public’s heart with his cute romance with Paige Turley. But when he first entered the villa on day five and announced that he was 20 years old, viewers were shocked because he literally looks like a 3o-year-old man.
Amelia Peters, 21
Age in the show: 18
Series: 3
Okay it is unlikely you will remember Amelia. The model joined the villa on day 26 and left two days later, but was the youngest person to join the show at 18. The oldest contestant of the series was in his 30s.
Tommy Fury, 21
Age in the show: 20
Series: 5
Tommy was already fairly well known because of his brother Tyson Fury and his boxing status, but quickly became one of the viewers favourites and came second place in the 2019 series. It’s mad he was only 20 in the show, because he looks so much older.
Molly-Mae Hague, 21
Age in the show: 20
Series: 5
YouTuber and influencer Molly-Mae was one of the favourites to win the fifth season of Love Island because of her romance with Tommy Fury. But viewers were shocked to hear how young she was, as Molly-Mae was only 20 when she entered the villa. She looked older than this thanks to her impeccable styling. B
ut then again, is it really that surprising that she is so young? Remember her cuddly toy elephant Elly Belly? I’d rather not.
Wes Nelson, 22
Age in the show: 20
Series: 4
Wes was one of the funniest people in the season 4 villa, and was just a lil baby! Viewers couldn’t believe when he announced that he was only 20. He was a lot younger than Laura, who he was originally coupled up with, but then in the end placed fourth in a couple with Megan Barton-Hanson.
Danny Williams, 22
Age in the show: 21
Series: 5
Model Danny had quite the Love Island experience. He entered the villa on day five and started a romance with Yewanda Biala, but quickly had his head turned by Arabella Chi, and then when she left formed a brief relationship with Jourdan Riane. He’s another one of the list of boys who are a lot younger than they look.
Emma Jayne Woodhams, 23
Age in the show: 19
Series: 2
Emma joined the villa on day 19 and revealed she was Thomas Powell’s ex girlfriend, who was currently also on the show coupled up with Sophie Gradon. She was only 19 when she entered the villa, which was young compared the rest of the islanders in series two who were ages 23+. She is remembered for *that* bedroom scene with Terry Walsh.
Adam Collard, 24
Age in the show: 22
Series: 4
When gym owner Adam entered the villa and announced he was only 22 years old, viewers refused to believe that someone so built and sexy could be so young. Initially Adam had a romance with Rosie Williams, before coupling up with Zara McDermott, but he was dumped on day 33.
Bethany Rogers, 24
Age in the show: 19
Series: 1
Bethany from Leeds was the youngest islander in the first series, and caused quite a stir on her first night when she joined as she started a fight with Jess (who went on to win that year). Not much is known about what she has been doing since the show, apart from that she faced a drug charge back in September 2019.
Zara Holland, 24
Age in the show: 20
Series: 2
You may remember poor Zara from when she got with Alex Bowen in the Hideaway, and the next day found out she was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title. She didn’t last long after that. But how mad that she’s only 24 now!!?
The oldest Love Islander contestants
And now we move onto the oldest Love Island contestants. To be honest, they’re not even old, and some of them have literally not aged??
Alexandra Cane, 28
Age in the show: 27
Series: 4
The stunning makeup artist entered the villa on day 39 and was coupled up with Dr Alex for a bit. She definitely did not look 27 when she entered the villa – what a babe.
Anna Vakili, 29
Age in the show: 29
Series: 5
Pharmacist Anna was one of the oldest female islanders on the show in series five, and definitely did not look 29 years old. When she first joined on the show she said that because of her age, her family were pressuring her to find someone. She actually celebrated her birthday in the villa, and had a party with the other islanders.
Tom Walker, 29
Age in the show: 29
Series: 5
Tom, another model from Leeds, was dumped from the Island on day 25 after one too many arguments with Maura Higgins, who he was coupled up with for a bit. Never forget the scene where she overheard him chatting about her behind her back. What. Good. Drama.
Nabila Badda, 30
Age in the show: 29
Series: 5
We only saw Nabila briefly, she entered Casa Amor in day 26 and only lasted four days.
Laura Anderson, 31
Age in the show: 29
Series: 4
Kind of shocking to think Laura was almost 30 when she went into the villa, because a) she doesn’t look it and b) she was coupled up with Wes for a while who was nine years younger than her. Laura didn’t have the best experience in the villa, being dropped by Wes first then by Jack Fowler later in the series – she’s thriving now though.
Sophie Gradon, 32
Age in the show: 30
Series: 2
Sophie was the oldest islanders in the villa during series 2, and had romances with both Thomas Powell and Katie Salmon, before choosing to leave in day 39. She tragically passed away on 20th June, 2018.
Marcel Somerille, 34
Age in the show: 31
Series: 3
If you didn’t already know Marcel used to be Blazin’ Squad, he’ll tell you. The oldest in the villa by a couple of years, Marcel was coupled up with Gabby Allen and together they placed in fourth.
Paul Knopps, 33
Age in the show: 31
Series: 4
Paul was one of the oldest in the villa during series four, and got lucky because soon after he entered on day 43, he coupled up with Laura Anderson and managed to come in third place. Upon leaving followed all the drama that he allegedly had a secret girlfriend the whole time he was on the show and just faked it with Laura for publicity (another L for Laura).
John and Tony Alberti, 34
Age in the show: 29
Series: 1
If you’ve watched the first season of Love Island then you will remember the twins. They caused quite a stir when they joined the villa, determined to couple up with the girls they had their eyes set on, but they didn’t get very far and only lasted three days.
Jordan Ring, 36
Age in the show: 31
Series: 1
Nicknamed the Hulk, model Jordan was the oldest contestant in the villa in the first ever series in 2015. He was coupled up with model Zoe Brown but was booted off on day 35.
