Woman whose Love Is Blind partner tried to kill her says he still contacts her from prison

A woman whose Love Is Blind partner has been jailed for attempting to murder her has said he is still in contact from prison. Santiago Martínez was jailed for 15 years earlier this year, after he was found guilty of the attempted murder of his TV bride, Emily Ceco.

Emily and Martínez met and got married on Love Is Blind: Argentina and were then together for around a year. However after this, she reported him for gender-based violence. Following a trial, he was found guilty of attempted murder, repeated assault, and unlawful detention.

He is currently in jail, and six months after he was sentenced to prison time, Emily has shared an update. She appeared on the HISPA podcast, to give an update on her life now. During this chat, she said that Martínez is still trying to contact her. 

She explained that an Instagram account she believes belongs to her ex has followed her. Emily said: “Something that happened to me a few days ago, as a kid they called him [Martínez] Nano, he’s a River fan, and he always had a phrase that I think he said twice a day, all day he’d say it, ‘God’s timing is perfect.’

“And recently a new account started following me, called Nano, that had a stolen River photo, and said, ‘God’s timing is perfect,’ and had no followers, nothing. It was a brand-new profile.

She added that this, along with knowing that one day he will be released, has made her scared of what the future holds. Emily added: “I’m very afraid, because it’s still relatively recent. I do want to continue with my life. I would love to start a family, I would love to be a mom. I would love to achieve what I fought for, because I fought to stay alive, and I want to fulfill my dreams.”
