Who does Cole from My Life with the Walter Boys end up with? The books have the answers

You don’t need to wait for S4 to know

After three seasons of My Life with the Walker Boys, Cole and Jackie still haven’t sorted things out between them. In season three episode seven, Cole brutally dumps Jackie for very silly reasons. So, who does Cole end up with in the My Life with the Walter Boys books? Are things actually over for him and Jackie now? Let’s find out.

Cole doesn’t dump Jackie in the books

In the Netflix show, Cole breaks up with Jackie because he fears his job as a mechanic isn’t prestigious enough, and Jackie deserves to spend her life with someone with a more prestigious job. This feels pretty silly, since a) since when were they all elitist snobs and b) they’re teenagers.

In Ali Novak’s novel My Return to the Walter Boys, events play out quite differently. Jackie ends things with Cole after a big argument.

At the very end of the book, Jackie and Cole have a DMC in a cafe. She tells him that dumping him was “a mistake”. Jackie admits that she gave up on their relationship too quickly because she was worried about how their romance might impact her bond with the rest of the family. She tells him: “I pushed you away so I wouldn’t lose them … it didn’t matter what you promised, because they were your family first, and it scared me to think about what might happen if we didn’t work out.”

Cole and Jackie get back together, and the book hints they will stay together for a while. The book ends with Jackie offering to show him around New York.
