MAFS UK’s Steven reveals the true reason for his ‘aggressive’ behaviour at dinner party

Steven’s MAFS UK journey has taken a turn for the worst after last night’s chaotic episode. He got a lot of heat from his cast mates over dinner, and reacted in a way many people viewed as aggressive. But in a new statement, he’s revealed the true reason behind his behaviour.
In an Instagram post uploaded this morning, Steven gave a lengthy explanation to his behaviour on MAFS, and admitted he came across negatively.

“The way I was portrayed came across as aggressive, and I wanted to acknowledge that I am deeply embarrassed by my behaviour,” he said. “It is not conduct I wish to be associated with.”
He then went into the behind the scenes situations he said influenced his behaviour.
“That particular period of filming was extremely stressful for me, last night’s episode does not reflect the full extent of what I was going through at the time.”
He continued: “I had not seen my children in three weeks – the longest I had gone without any contact with them in nine years.”
Steven had talked about his stepdad’s health issues in last night’s episode, and how it was affecting his behaviour. In his statement, he goes into a bit more detail.
“My stepdad, who has been a father figure to me since I was eight years old, was in hospital due to a serious heart issue, which eventually required surgery,” he said.

Steven then explained he’d told Nelly about this situation privately, and apologised for how it was impacting his actions.

“I shared this with Nelly and told her that if I left then, I would not be coming back. I apologised to her because it was not fair to expect her to give her all to the process when I wasn’t able to do the same.”
The ex-football player turned off the comments and likes on this Instagram post.
After last night’s episode, many viewers have started to side-eye Steven. People were especially angry because he wouldn’t take accountability for leaving Nelly behind at home with a broken rib, while he was on a night out with the boys.
“Run my girl [Nelly], don’t put up with this huge red flag!” said one concerned viewer.
“So, she broke a rib, he stayed out all night talking about other woman and now she’s serving him a cup of tea while he sits on the couch? Oh hell no,” said another.
We’ll have to wait until next week to see if Nelly and Steven can get past this argument and get back to the good vibes of their honeymoon.
