Someone went on a cruise and has now realised MAFS UK’s Dean was working on board

Someone has posted to say that whilst looking through their lovely cruise ship holiday videos, they’ve now realised one of the staff members on board was Dean from MAFS UK. I mean, he was made for that type of job.

So far, we’ve all grown to love Dean Vary and his outgoing and fun personality. He first introduced himself as having worked as an entertainer, and then at his wedding whipped out a rap. His bride Sarah might have hated it, but we loved it. And now, someone has posted an incredible video of Dean working on a cruise ship, before MAFS UK filming.

“I thought I recognised Dean from MAFS from somewhere,” the poster said. The caption added: “It’s actually my husband with the weirdly good memory, not me.”

In the video, it looks as though Dean is commentating some sort of competition going on, on the top deck. Next to the pool, a number of cruise staff members are dressed in chef’s whites, doing a cooking contest. It sounds as though the captain of the ship was one of those taking part, as Dean calls him out a couple of times.

Dean is narrating the events in a very classic holiday entertainer style voice, which of course, he has nailed. The clip was obviously from a while ago, as Dean himself has commented on it and said: “What a throwback this is, hope you enjoyed your cruise haha.”

Someone else in the comments has said they were also on the same trip, and loved Dean. They said: “We thought we recognised him from somewhere and I guess it was from this cruise! Marella Explorer April 2023 to the Caribbean?!”. The poster confirmed that yes, the video was from the same Caribbean cruise two years ago.

But, it looks as though he’s done the full cruise circuit. Someone else added: “Omg I just checked my June 2022 Med cruise videos and he was on mine too.”

Dean has shared a further video on his own profile, which also looks as though it was from his cruise ship days. He’s rapping (of course) and has explained it was taken in 2018. “Been in the rapping scene since, 2018, know what I mean,” he said.

I’m obsessed.
