All the evidence Harrison and Lauren are a ‘PR stunt’ after *that* receipt video

Leaving Love Island hasn’t brought them together

People are starting to believe that Harrison and Lauren’s relationship might not be as real as it looks online, and the viral receipt video has only made the theory stronger.

In the clip, Harrison pays the bill, throws the receipt back at Lauren and looks visibly fed up as he slips what looks like her card back into her handbag. “He paid with her card, then put her purse back in her bag at the end,” one person wrote on TikTok.

Others took it further, suggesting Harrison doesn’t even like Lauren: “He’s trying the old ‘I don’t want to break up with you so I’ll make you want to break up with me’.”

For many people, the video just reinforces the idea that their whole relationship is a PR stunt.

The couple first met on Love Island during Casa Amor in July 2025, with Harrison dramatically choosing to leave the main villa for Lauren.

Despite meeting each other’s families, Lauren and Harrison still haven’t made their relationship official, which seems like a major red flag. “Exclusive” but not boyfriend and girlfriend? For a couple that’s constantly being paraded on red carpets, that feels suspicious.

Another reason people think their relationship is for PR is the clear difference in how much they post about each other. Lauren is constantly pushing out Harrison content: she quickly shared her own montage of clips showing the two looking very loved up. From driving around hand in hand to cutesy selfies, the post was captioned with “time feels slower when you’re together”.

Harrison however, has been low-effort at best with his uploads: the joint photo they both uploaded when they first left the villa, one red carpet snap buried as the second slide in a carousel, and a single video Lauren tagged him in are the only things he’s posted.

Harrison’s Instagram handle is still Young Bull, which doesn’t exactly scream “taken”. And even when Lauren filmed the moment she met his family, which could have been a cute, wholesome couple milestone, he barely seemed engaged in the video.

He even posted a TikTok of himself lip-syncing to SZA’s Open Arms. The lyrics he chose were: “Leave me alone, I can’t take another lie / I don’t wanna hear you tryin’ / I just spent the whole night cryin.”

At the line “I’d rather just f**k on my ex again,” he gave the camera a side-eye that fans couldn’t ignore. Shady.

And to top it all off, people are resurfacing a moment from a live stream with ex-Islanders Andrada and Emma. They were playing “take a drink or answer,” and when asked if they’d couple up with Harrison, both laughed and drank instead of answering. Harrison even commented “wait what” on the stream.

It’s more evidence that people who know him best think this whole relationship is sus.

So, is it all just a PR stunt? Maybe Harrison’s just private and Lauren’s more of an oversharer. But after the receipt drama, his SZA TikTok, and the lack of enthusiasm on his socials, it’s not surprising that we’re starting to think Harrison and Lauren are only together for the cameras.
