Helena shares the brutal reason she’s banned from going back to her day job after Love Island

Helena Ford might be in a completely different world after Love Island 2025, but one thing she definitely isn’t doing is going back to her day job. Speaking since the villa, she brutally shared that is well and truly off the cards.

Before heading to the villa, Helena was working as cabin crew, based in London. In 2018, she got a job as cabin crew for British Airways. A Love Island producer is said to have seen Helen on a flight and figured she might be a good fit for Love Island. Helena then quit her job of seven years to go on the show.

But now, speaking to The Daily Star, Helena revealed she’s literally not allowed back to her job. During the 2025 Love Island talent show, Helena dressed as cabin crew to “roast” the other Islanders. She added their names, and countless digs, to a staged safety briefing, like one you’d get at the start of a flight.

Helena has since said she won’t be allowed back to her job because of that moment. Ouch. “I don’t think they will take me back after that roast I did,” she admitted. “Plus all the passengers will think, ‘Oh no, I’m going to get roasted now.’ Never say never but I’m not looking to go back at the moment, definitely not.”

She later added that she has to “work on” herself before going back to work, and needs “therapy”. Helena added: “I think I need take a break and to do some therapy first – I watched a lot of things back that I didn’t like in myself, so there’s that to work on first.” Fair enough!

Helena has been keeping herself busy without her day job, anyway. Since Love Island, she has signed with Alpha Talent, so is definitely on the lookout for opportunities. The Tab revealed Helena is among the 2025 Islanders who can charge the most on Instagram now. Her estimated potential earnings are £912 per post. I think she’ll do just fine!
