Love Island’s Yasmin shares real reason she and Jamie broke up and explains ‘cheating’ drama

This is such a whirlwind

Last week, people thought Yasmin and Jamie from Love Island 2025 had split up, when they looked pretty separate whilst attending the NTAs. Then it was reported she’d been spotted holding hands with Freddie from The Traitors. Now, days later, it’s been reported the couple have broken up. A whirlwind.

After the NTAs, people on Reddit noted a lot of the photos of Yasmin Pettet and Jamie Rhodes were taken alone, and it was claimed they also arrived at the event separately. Then, The Sun reported she had been seen flirting and holding hands with The Traitors star, Freddie Fraser.

A reporter said they overheard Yasmin tell him: “We need to go somewhere private, no one can see.” Jamie apparently told pals that Yasmin was annoyed at him, and was videoed on the phone telling someone Yasmin had “f*cked off” during the event. “Yasmin and Jamie weren’t together at the party a lot at all, compared to Harry and Shakira and Cach and Toni, who were glued to each other’s sides,” a source said of them at the NTAs.

Now, it’s been reported the Love Island 2025 finalist couple are all over. It looks as though they may have broken up before the event. People on Reddit questioned if they were putting on a “united front” for the evening.

As to what’s actually gone down, Yasmin has since shared a statement. On Instagram, she said: “Myself and Jamie split before the NTAs but hadn’t formally announced it yet. We’re still really good friends and I’ll always have so much love and care for him for making my Love Island experience what it was.

“I find it laughable that everyone thinks I cheated on Jamie with Freddie from Traitors which is not true and anyone who knows me knows my type is late 20s, 30s plus.” She added that Jamie is the “most amazing man ever” and she will be “forever grateful” for their time together.

Yasmin and Jamie never actually posted to say they were official after the show. So it looks as though they literally just called times on things before it was serious.

Yas had previously said things were “going really well” but weeks before said they had been in “no rush to be intimate”. They also hadn’t shared any photos together on Instagram, since the show ended. Sorry, but it would just appear they never put on a label on things, and it’s all just naturally come to an end.
