‘She didn’t really care’: Shakira slams how Helena treated her in the Love Island villa
She’s still ‘irked’ by the bikini incident
Gals, the Love Island 2025 drama is continuing beyond the villa. Shakira has spoken out about how Helena treated her in the Love Island villa, and she did not hold back.
So much of 2025’s Love Island focused on Harry flip-flopping between Shakira and Helena. Shakira believes she was respectful of Helena in the eras when she was coupled up with Harry. But Shakira is “annoyed” about how Helena treated her in the Harry/Helena phases.
“I don’t think Helena gave consideration to my feelings,” she told Fabulous, “I’ve said that to her a few times.
“When it was the other way around, I knew how I felt and I wouldn’t have wanted her to feel that way. I guess that’s why I was quite annoyed with her – she didn’t really care.

“When Harry and I were back on again, I didn’t want to be all in her face, because I knew it would be hurtful. But bikini-gate really irked me. I was like: ‘Is she f**king for real?’ Come on now.
“I don’t think it was shown, but I called them out twice in that first week. And I said: ‘When it’s your turn, I really hope someone doesn’t treat you that way, because it’s not nice.”
Bikinigate refers to the moment when Helena wore a bikini that Shakira had previously worn. Since leaving the Love Island villa, Helena has said she didn’t intentionally steal Shakira’s bikini. She explained to Capital: ” I never took Shakira’s bikini and everybody seems to think I stole it. “Like, yeah, I think I did try and steal her man but I defo didn’t steal her bikini.”

Shakira also shared that she and Helena had potential to be besties, if they lived in some alternate universe free from mediocre Surrey boys with bad mullets.
“But me and Helena don’t actually have any beef,” she continued, “we got on really well and had good banter. It’s a shame, as in another world, we would’ve been good friends, but we got caught in conflict with boys.”
That actually got me right in the feels.
