All the Love Island 2025 cast members who are *still* whining about their edit

I wish we’d had a constant live feed of the villa

Love Island 2025 was over several weeks ago now. But a sizeable chunk of the cast are still moaning about how they came across on TV. Here’s a rundown of all the Love Island 2025 cast who have complained about the edit (so far, anyway).

Meg insists ‘the divide’ was made out to be a bigger deal than it was

In case you’ve erased it from your memory, “the divide” is what Love Island viewers called the apparent split between the two main friendship groups of girls. It basically amounted to Shakira, Toni and Yasmin on one side, and everyone blonde on the other.

In an interview with Cosmo, Meg apologised for some of the comments she made about the other girls in the villa. But she and Helena did also complain “the divide” came across worse on TV than it was in real life.

Meg said: “There was part of a divide, but I think it was made out to be way bigger than it was.”

“Because as a group, like, collectively, we all got on,” Helena added, “We’d be in the dressing room getting ready for the night out in the garden, no-one arguing. We’ll be doing each other’s make-up, each other’s hair. But they never show that kind of stuff.”

Harry and Emma thought one scene did them dirty

Do you remember the episode in which Emma and Harry talked about their relationship, and the camera kept cutting away to Helena smouldering? Harry revealed he still had love for Helena. Emma made a comment about them winning the £50,000 prize. Lots of Love Island viewers theorised they had a game plan to get back together on the show.

However, Emma and Harry have both complained that these comments were jokes, but that wasn’t obvious from how the show was edited.

Emma explained on the Spill with Will podcast: “A lot of the times when Harry and I were having conversations, neither of us wanted to be there, right? We were very much encouraged to have conversations. So this was quite forced, and we just didn’t have anything to talk about, and we were just messing around. There was nothing else to say and we were being so unserious.”

Harry said on the Not My Bagg podcast: “That conversation was ages. That conversation was like, 45 minutes… That conversation started with her just hammering me. just saying my behaviour is a disgrace, all of it, and then it kind of came round to her being like, ‘Oh, we should couple up and do this.’

“I wasn’t having it, obviously. But it kind of looked like I was having it, because I think I said, ‘I love you, I’ve still got so much love for you.’ Which is true. Obviously there’s love there. We spent a lot of time together.

“Some of the edits have done me a little dirty.”

Megan slammed the edit of pretty much every scene she was in

Cast your mind back to when Megan binned Tommy so she could be with Connor. On TV, we saw Tommy cry over this. But Megan complained that the chronology of events was a bit different in real life. She’s “raging’ about how that episode made her look.

“Obviously, seeing Tommy cry, and then it cuts to me and Conor kissing on the terrace, I can understand why people are raging,” Megan told the Daily Mail, “I was raging. But obviously it didn’t play out like that in real life. It broke my heart. That was the last thing I wanted, to see him upset.”

Apparently, Megan meant to call Harry “boring, sloppy, lazy”. But the order of the episode made it look like she’d insulted Yasmin instead.
