The seven pieces of hot evidence that prove Love Island 2025 was the most staged yet
Even the Islanders have been saying it
Shock horror! Lots of parts of Love Island 2025 have hinted towards the show being staged. Now, I’ll preface this and say ITV has always said the show isn’t staged, the Islanders have free will and editing is very normal. Of course, no lies told.
Buuuuuuut, there is only a certain level of producer input and editing we can put up with. Plus, the Islanders themselves this year have been calling out the show for creating narratives with pesky editing and manipulation. It needs to be called out!
Here’s a rundown of all the evidence Love Island 2025 was staged.
There was a very classic editing error early on in the show

via ITV
Would it be Love Island without a few editing errors? The first this year came during a very awkward chat. The Islanders had just returned from the sleepover villa, and Emily found out Conor had been cracking on with Megan. So, Emily and Megan sat down to chat about what happened.
When the girls first sat down, there were very clearly five prosecco glasses on the table in front of them. Then out of nowhere, two more just magically appeared. In less than a second, with no movement anywhere, there were suddenly seven glasses on the table.
For one to arrive, you could maybe imagine a slight editing error with some coming and going, or maybe someone came over and placed a glass on the table, and it got cut. But two?! Clearly, an entire section of this chat was cut out, or it was edited in the completely wrong order, and shown to us to look a certain way.

A bunch of the Islanders knew each other before the show and pretended they didn’t
Eight of the Love Island 2025 cast already knew each other before the show… but pretended they didn’t. The only people out of those who were straight up about their previous run-in was Emma and Harry, but that was still a setup storyline by producers to throw in his ex.
On top of those two, Lauren and Ty had literally hooked up before the show but when they briefly coupled up pretended it was their first time meeting. Megan and Conor have followed each other on socials for years, and Cach is ex Islander Dami Hope’s best mate, and Dami’s ex is Billykiss, so there’s a high chance they’ve met before, too!
Dumped Islanders were calling the couples ‘staged’

via ITV
There’s nothing more staged than the actual cast of Love Island 2025 calling it that. I mean, they would know. When Ben and Andrada were dumped, she literally called Meg and Dejon a “staged” couple.
She said they weren’t very romantic, then added: “It’s very hard to keep up with this official and then boyfriend, it feels very staged. That’s the only thing I’ve got to say, but I hope it works out for them.”
People called out the show for faking an entire storyline
Right at the end of the show, a game between the Islanders turned very messy. The group were asked to write down the name of the Islander they thought their partner would couple up with, if it weren’t them. Yasmin misinterpreted the question, and it was said she wrote down “Dejon” thinking the question was actually after who she would couple up with, if not Jamie.
But, people found a still from the episode where it appears Yas actually wrote “Cach”. So, why was her writing Dejon made into such a big thing? “Definitely the producers telling her to start drama,” one person wrote.
Yasmin’s mum called the show ‘a fix’

via ITV
Yasmin’s mum clearly thought her daughter was more deserving than third place, as she called the final a fix. “What you don’t understand is this is not a paid vote. If it’s not a paid vote, you cannot see the results. That means they can say whatever they want,” she said of the final. She later added: “Because this is free voting, they decide.”
ITV then clapped back by posting the vote result and final percentages. End of debate.
Megan claimed her words and actions were edited
When Megan was first dumped, she left the villa and said she was “raging” with how she had been edited. She said things didn’t actually happen how they came across on TV. Megan said it was made to look as though she made Tommy cry, and then when straight to kissing Conor. “I was raging. But obviously it didn’t play out like that in real life,” she said.
She later said in a different interview that her words were changed, too. In the villa, she appeared to call Yasmin “boring, sloppy, lazy” but speaking out after the show, Megan claimed she’d actually been talking about Harry. She said it was edited to fit her “mean girl” narrative. Meow!
There were two further editing errors all in one night

More editing errors came during the final dates. Two in one night, actually. The first was during the date of Ty and Angel. The food they were having went from being all there, to a half-empty plate, back to full again. Then, Harry and Shakira sat down with some food on the daybeds, but next minute the food was gone.
