Oh dear! Two awful editing errors on the same night show how staged Love Island really is

Love Island had a mare last week with not one but TWO huge editing errors in the same night, showing how many times the conversations had to be refilmed.

This season has seemed more staged than ever before, with people calling out the producers for favouritism, winner’s edits and even faking a whole storyline for drama.

If you needed any more proof, the two latest errors came during the date nights, after the boys went out of the villa to buy dinner and gifts for their other halves.

First, Ty and Angel were sitting eating their pizza and wedges on the sofa and the pizza literally got eaten and then reappeared again like magic.

One minute the pizza is there whole and untouched. Then, the camera cuts to Angel’s face and it’s half eaten. A few seconds later, the camera zooms out and it’s whole again.

Straight after, the camera then switched to Harry and Shakira having their date on the day beds, and there was another editing error with the food.

One minute, there are two big bowls of spaghetti sitting on the end of the bed waiting to be eaten. Then, a second later, during the same conversation, they are completely gone.

Everyone knows Love Island show re-records conversations multiple times and puts the clips together in the wrong order to make it more entertaining.

It’s a normal part of any reality show, but it still makes the show feel really staged and scripted knowing that each scene didn’t actually play out the way it looks on TV.

When they went on All Stars last year, Molly and Tom said they had to re-film “loads of things” throughout their time on the show, especially during recouplings.

“As well [as that], you do like half a day on the Saturday and then you have to put all the same bikinis and stuff on Sunday and then carry it on,” she told Closer.
