Three Islanders shockingly tried to quit the villa in dramatic scenes cut from Love Island 2025

A huge three Islanders tried to quit Love Island 2025, all whilst filming for the show was taking place. Three Islanders are said to have spoken to the Love Island team, and all expressed a want to leave the villa.

These instances all happened at different times during the Love Island 2025 run. One was near the end of the show, another ahead of Casa Amor, and a first happened just two days into the show. Here’s a rundown of which Love Island 2025 Islanders tried to quit the show, and their reasons why.

Shakira tried to quit, but producers convinced her to stay

Just as Shakira was going through her worst turmoil and deciding between Conor and Harry, she tried to quit the show. But, producers persuaded her to stay. How different things could have been!

Shakira visited the Love Island welfare team after breaking down, and said she feared she would never get over her feelings for Harry. She talked through her situation for “a number of hours” and said she wanted to leave the villa.

A source told The Sun: “Shakira has been through the wringer and was already at breaking point over her heartbreak by Harry. When Harry made it exclusive with Helena, everything unravelled and she realised she wasn’t ready to be with Conor properly.

“She did the brave thing by ending that, but then the floodgates opened and she just didn’t want to be in the villa anymore. She went to the beach hut and asked to leave the villa. The duty of care team were able to help her through her emotions and she decided to stay.”

Tommy also wanted to call it a day. Speaking on the Saving Grace podcast, he admitted for the first couple of days he didn’t eat and hardly slept, and wanted to walk. He was speaking to Love Island medics, and only felt better when he began cracking on with Megan.

“How bad is this? For the first two days of the villa I didn’t sleep at all and I didn’t eat a thing,” he said. “I was even speaking to the medics. I was saying I didn’t know what to do. The thought of food made me feel nauseous.” The medics advised he try to give things another day, to which Tommy replied: “I don’t know if I can do this, I might have to walk.”

He said “having that closeness” with Megan when they started talking helped him to overcome all of his feelings. “It was so out of my comfort zone,” Tommy said. “But I’m so proud of how I overcame that feeling.”

Rheo tried to quit when she heard she was a Casa cast member

Let’s be honest, Rheo had a bit of a mare in Casa. She was lead on by Harry (shock), who then didn’t couple up with her, which meant she was dumped. But, Rheo had feelings of wanting to quit way before this, and said she wanted to sack in the show from the moment she found out she was part of Casa Amor.

During a Q&A, she said: “I wanted to be flown home when they told me l was in Casa. I just knew it wasn’t going to be for me. I don’t fight for the spotlight and certainly don’t fight over a man.”

Of course, she had to get one last dig at Harry in there. “I don’t regret it but l’m annoyed that that was my Love Island experience, because realistically I won’t get to do it again and l feel as though I was just a part in a big machine for Harry’s storyline,” Rheo later added.
