A Love Island 2025 girl has tried to QUIT the show but producers persuaded her to stay

She spent ‘a number of hours’ with the welfare team

It’s been revealed a Love Island 2025 girl has tried to quit the show, but producers have stepped in and managed to persuade her to change her mind.

Recently, it’s been turmoil for Shakira. Megan has come back into the villa, she’s ended things with Conor, and suddenly things look back on with Harry. It’s been revealed in scenes yet to come there is a “showdown” with Harry’s partner Helena, and it’s also been said all this drama ended up being too much for Shakira. She tried to quit the villa altogether.

According to The Sun, this week Shakira visited the Love Island welfare team after breaking down. She feared she would never get over her feelings for Harry. She talked through her situation for “a number of hours” and said she wanted to leave.

A source said: “Shakira has been through the wringer and was already at breaking point over her heartbreak by Harry. When Harry made it exclusive with Helena, everything unravelled and she realised she wasn’t ready to be with Conor properly.

“She did the brave thing by ending that, but then the floodgates opened and she just didn’t want to be in the villa anymore. She went to the beach hut and asked to leave the villa. The duty of care team were able to help her through her emotions and she decided to stay.”

This comes just as viewers had feared Shakira wanted to leave. People said they were “concerned” over her mental health, after on the show Shakira admitted she didn’t want to be with anyone anymore.

“I think Shakira will voluntarily leave the villa at this point. They’ve broken her,” one person said. Another added: “Free Shakira. You can tell she’s so obviously done to the point that she’s either waiting to get dumped or is going to voluntarily walk.”
