Eminem and Kid Cudi were both in the film
Almost three decades after the original was released, Happy Gilmore 2 just dropped on Netflix, and it’s packed with wild cameos and hidden details.
Adam Sandler reprised his role as professional golfer Happy Gilmore in the comedy sequel, which sees him returning to the sport after retiring due to the tragic death of his wife.
From Travis Kelce to Eminem, the whole thing is practically one big cameo – so here are all the easter eggs you missed in the movie.
Adam Sandler’s wife and kids
Adam Sandler’s real-life family are in Happy Gilmore 2. His daughter Sunny plays his on-screen daughter Vienna, while his other daughter Sadie is the FBI plant at the AA meetings, and his wife Jackie is Vienna’s dance teacher. Plus, the actor’s mum, mother‑in‑law, brother‑in‑law, and cousin all have small cameos too.

Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny
NFL star Travis Kelce, or Taylor Swift’s boyfriend as some people know him, plays a waiter at the golf club’s resturant. Rapper Bad Bunny is also a waiter there, and Happy Gilmore hilariously enlists him as his caddie, as he forgot to bring one.

The names on the gravestones
In the scene where Happy meets his nemesis Shooter McGavin at the graveyeard, the gravestones are all actors from the original movie who have died. There’s Bob Barker, who passed away in 2023, Carl Weathers (Chubbs), who died in 2024 and Frances Bay’s Grandma, who died away in 2011.
Eminem had a cameo
Slim Shady had a cameo in the film, starring at the heckler who called Happy a “jack***” to try and put him off the game.

Post Malone was there too
During the final tournament at the end, the commentators are joined by a celebrity called DJ Omar Gosh, who is played by singer Post Malone.

The SNL reference
At the start, there are loads of clips of Happy Gilmore on SNL, which is a little nod to Adam Sandler’s real-life appearances on the show. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995, and it boosted his career.

Alix Earle and the podcasters
There was a quick cameo from TikTok girlie Alix Earle, who was interviewing the film’s villain Frank Manatee as herself on her podcast. During the same scene, we also saw Hot Wings’ Sean Evans.
So many real golf legends
So many real-life professional golfers feature throughout the film, including John Daly, Paige Spiranac, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas and Will Zalatoris.

Happy’s late friends and family
At the end of the 1996 film, Happy sees Abraham Lincoln, Chubbs, and the alligator who took his hand, all waving to him from heaven. In the sequel, he sees the same thing, but Grandma, Mr. Larson, Bob Barker, the hecklers, and his wife Virginia are also there, because they have all now died.

Kid Cudi is in the film
Adding to the long list of musicians in the film, Kid Cudi also makes a quick appearance at the end of the film as an undercover agent.
