Um, Curtis made bizarre comments about a ‘showmance’ with Ekin-Su a few weeks before split

Breaking news: Curtis Pritchard and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu have split. Sorry. Ever since Curtis and Ekin-Su’s first kiss on Love Island: All Stars, plenty of people have wondered if their relationship was a showmance. Their really weird row and reconciliation after Curtis dared touch another woman’s finger definitely led some viewers to wonder if they were playing up for the cameras somewhat. Curtis made a strange joke about his relationship with Ekin-Su being a showmance just weeks ago, and these comments have not aged well now they’ve broken up.

Curtis Pritchard appeared on the Not My Bagg podcast on 13th May. Apparently Ekin-Su was lurking just behind the camera for the whole interview. Joe Baggs asked Curtis what he would like to say to people who suggest Curtis and Ekin-Su’ relationship was a showmance.

Curtis responded: “Yeah, it’s a full on showmance. You’re right, guys. I think our contract runs out in another two months or something, and then we’ll end up breaking up. I’ve sort of thought about how I’m going to do it already.”

He then said he was only joking about this. “No, its not a showmance. It’s all a load of rubbish. And people sometimes say there is a set contract amount of time that they have to be together. I’ll tell you right now. I didn’t read the contract.”

Ekin-Su dramatically announced she was done with Curtis on her Instagram story, but didn’t give much insight into why.

Curtis also didn’t cite a reason for the break-up. He wrote on Instagram: “Breakups are never easy, but I’ll always be grateful for the laughs, the adventures, and the memories (especially the dance routines).”

He added: ” I’ll be keeping busy with work, boxing, dancing, and working with the team on FINT.” Of course, he had to throw in a mention of his new finance app.
