Ekin-Su’s ‘secret romance’ with Georges during Love Island All Stars leads to ‘betrayal’ claims

Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu is back in the headlines—but this time, it’s not about her on-screen moments with Curtis Pritchard. Instead, there are now claims she had a “secret relationship” with MAFS UK’s Georges Berthonneau ahead of Love Island All Stars.

He’s claiming she “betrayed” him by going into the villa. Ekin has said the claims aren’t true, but Georges has said he’s been left heartbroken by it all.

Before the cameras started rolling on Love Island: All Stars, Ekin-Su and Georges were allegedly in a serious 10-month relationship. But when Ekin signed up for Love Island: All Stars, things started to shift. According to Georges, they agreed that she could kiss other Islanders, but nothing more.

In an interview with MailOnline, Georges explained how devastated he was to watch Ekin-Su’s romantic involvement with Curtis Pritchard unfold on screen. He described being heartbroken after seeing her kiss Curtis and even perform a flirtatious routine for the show’s heart rate challenge. According to Georges, Ekin and Curtis later became an official couple, leaving him feeling betrayed. “I was broken. Absolutely broken,” he shared.

Georges claims he was more invested in their relationship than Ekin-Su. He said he begged her not to join the show, feeling that her career ambitions were her top priority. “She chose her career over me,” Georges added. He has also mentioned that the emotional toll of seeing Ekin move on publicly has affected him deeply, even leading him to seek therapy. After filming wrapped, he said Ekin didn’t contact him immediately, instead waiting a week, which left him feeling even more abandoned.

According to sources close to Ekin-Su, she was never exclusive with Georges. They said that from the beginning, she had been clear that she was open to seeing other people, including during her time with Georges. A friend of Ekin-Su told MailOnline that Ekin was upfront about being single when she joined Love Island: All Stars and had agreed to part ways with Georges before entering the villa. The source also emphasised that Ekin-Su had been active on dating apps during their time together.

While Georges is reportedly still struggling with the fallout and seeking closure, sources close to Ekin-Su have stated that she had no obligation to maintain an exclusive relationship with him and that she was honest about her intentions.
